Being closer to the magical flower she saw there
was something different about it, it was wilting,
greying in colour, it was busy fading and if it
faded away the land would be at risk of
disappearing. Mimi had to save the flower.
Mimi had to try and get either the flower to a
safer place or get the children to stop fighting
over it which would not be easy to do. She knew
that if she asked the children to stop touching the
flowers they would have questions and it would
be like someone giving them a gift and then
being told they could not open it. Like many of
us they would really want to know what was
underneath the wrapping of this gift.
So the only option was to find a safe hiding
place but where would that be and how was she
going to do this? Mimi waited for her window of
opportunity to swoop in and grab the flower. She
hoped that with the children still fighting, she
could slip through unnoticed.
